Motor neuron disease (MND) is caused by a group of unknown causes, which selectively damage the motor nucleus of the anterior horn of the spinal cord and brainstem, and develop slowly in the nervous system. The clinical manifestation is that the upper and lower motor neurons of the extremities coexist, but do not involve the sensory system, the plant nerve, and the cerebellar function.
