Causes of Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia syndrome (FS) is a non-articular rheumatic disease characterized by multiple aches and pains in the musculoskeletal system and tenderness in special areas. Fibromyalgia syndrome can be secondary to trauma, various kinds of rheumatism, such as osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis, OA), rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, RA), all kinds of rheumatism, such as low thyroid function, malignant tumor, etc.

This type of fibromyalgia syndrome is referred to as secondary fibromyalgia syndrome, or primary fibromyagia syndrome without other disorders.

The mechanism of the disease is unknown. The literature report is related to sleep disorders, abnormal secretion of neurotransmitters and immune disorders.

However, from the perspective of medical analysis, fibromyalgia occurs because of the disorder of autoimmune system, which can be adjusted by the immune system to improve the disease.
